Beneath Jupiter Island Park sits the memory of a very expensive idea.

Locals call it the Jupiter Dungeon. In the early 1980s, it was supposed to become Calle Viejo, a coastal plaza of cafés, boutiques, and restaurants. Then the money vanished, construction stopped, and everyone quietly moved on.
